coming out party finally hits australia. although they didn't think i am that funny. this, from the country whose biggest comedic achievement is crocodile dundee. screw them!
"hooking up in the real world," hosted by coral and myself. it ended up pretty good.
"coming out" stories told by comedians and writers. not a comedy show, per se, but is often funny.

That was such a great story. You are really a good writer, I got a knot in my stomach. I love this silly blog!

That sounds like something that would happen to me!!! I know the end result wasnt pleasant but at least you have the beach. Who knows, maybe the Navy guy would choose you first anyways!

    love you.
    we can all relate somehow.

Yes we can all relate somehow. I really enjoy reading your blog. I've been reading for sometime now and finally decided to leave a comment! Keep on writing!!!

    Love ya!

…and then you think, 'well, I'm glad I didn't say anything,… shit!'. Roberta Flack's “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” echoes from somewhere, the radio maybe, does it matter and you think 'it could've been…nice…'

You silly rabbit! Long term tricks are for kids!

One day there will be someone without a Navy boy on the computer. Promise!

Dan, that was a heartfelt and beautiful way of expressing the rollercoaster of emotions that a connection of that caliber can bring. That brings back memories of a personal relationship, both good and bad. He works for BMP- tell him I said Hi.

Wow, sorry that happened. On the bright side, this is probably the best written post I've read in awhile. I felt like I was in your place and could totally empathize with your story. Can't say I'm really surprised that he acted like this, but it will make it all the more special when you find someone who doesn't treat you this way. Good luck, you deserve somebody special.

What a wonderfully wrenching post. You make my heart ache for you. I recognize that story...I could have written it myself a few times over. Sadly, I have little talent for writing.

    you are loved :)

lol very very intresting! keep writing you make my day!

It was almost creepy reading this, but I think in the end very well timed. I have a him, in fact having birthday dinner with the him tonight (mine not his). I think this is where it ends, not because I want something more, but because I don't want any less of myself.

I think I'll order two desserts and tell him we can't go back to his hotel.

Just enjoy the moments & experience you had. You can always count on him for what you have had together, but nothing more. I've had similar situations a few times. Don't settle. Don't let him/them hurt you. You deserve better...and you'll get it one day. :-)

Your blog makes me smile! I need some advice from you... Over a month ago I tried out for the next season of The Real World, kind of as a joke... and I'm still in the casting process! I'm so torn about the whole thing -- should I be running for the hills or jumping for joy? I have no doubt it would be an incredible experience, but I'm so damn scared about how they'd choose to portray me on TV. On the whole have your experiences with mtv helped or hurt you? Ahh, every day I change my mind about it... just looking for a little direction from an alum.

Oh DAN!! For a second there I was so happy for you, picturing your commitement ceremony, etc... I should have known there would be a catch!! =)-
