coming out party finally hits australia. although they didn't think i am that funny. this, from the country whose biggest comedic achievement is crocodile dundee. screw them!
"hooking up in the real world," hosted by coral and myself. it ended up pretty good.
"coming out" stories told by comedians and writers. not a comedy show, per se, but is often funny.

Dan, Costco has a flat antenna you can attach to a wall (ideally, an outer wall) or a window to pull in signals. I have friends who swear by them, but have not tried it personally. I did not see it on their website, will get the model & price when I'm there in the next few days. The great thing about Costco is that you can return it if it doesn't work for you. If you don't have a Costco membership, I can get the antenna & send it to you for you to try.

Because of the compression used by the cable companies (to put more content through a smaller "pipe", your over-the-air picture will likely be better than what's provided through cable.

OK - it's the Winegard FlatWave, Model FL5000C. At Costco for $29.95. If you have questions about the product, they list a phone number of 800-288-8094. It comes with the antenna (0.17" thick, with a housing for the connector that is 0.6" thick), a 15' coax cable, and some sticky strips to attach it wherever it's going to go. You can also visit them on the web at

My Jensen TV910 is pretty good. If they still have it. I've used it with my digital converter ever since they eliminated analog broadcast.

In Boston, I used a digital antenna from CVS ($17) and it worked great. When it rained a lot or there was heavy snow (something you don't need to worry about in the 33139), the picture would scramble a bit but then it would go away.
