Hello, Dear Readers. I would like to ask for your help on something.
I'm writing a series on business travelers who go to seemingly-random locations, and manage to have a lovely time. Do you live in/travel to a suburb somewhere that is filled with office parks, and looks sterile, but you know of a way to make the most of your time there?
If you can help, name
1) the location;
2) why someone would be coerced into going there (what's the big company in town?);
3) a hotel, which may or may not be a chain but has a really cool reason to stay there (i.e., I found a hotel in Kansas with OPEN BAR on the concierge floor!);
4) a surprisingly hip/upscale/whatever place that is sure to make for a fun evening.
And then throw in whatever else you want to include.
Thanks.

What a great idea, Dan.
Question - if I have a place or two in mind, should I email it to you or post here?

Dan, have you read (or seen; the movie is as good as the book - something I rarely say) The Accidental Tourist? Your idea is the antithesis to the main character in that book.
