Today I found a Facebook profile of someone I knew, who died about a month ago. He is still being tagged in party invites, group photos that do not include his image, and other posts of no meaning. How depressing.
I believe that sums up the Facebook experience perfectly.

The link below will allow you to notify Facebook of the deceased person's account. They will then "memorialize" the page, locking it from further activity. Anyone can do this as long as they can provide a link to an obituary or death notice.

I will never do Facebook under my own name. I use a fake one just to see one other person's stuff. I can't get over how much time people waste doing it.

The same thing happened to me. Facebook kept sending out messages that he "missed" me because i hadn't posted on his wall in a while. Totally depressing

That is screwed up but it doesn't surprise me. I got booted from facebook but created a fake profile and they never caught it. Facebook doesn't really have customer service- no reps, no support number, etc. It is all done automated!!! They are like Big Brother! They track your every behavior like how many friend requests you send, wall posts created, etc. You can get banned just for using the account too much like posting on groups or joining too many groups.
