This moment in our nation's history:
...reminds me of this contestant for Miss Teen USA:
I swear I am moving to Mexico if McCain wins.
I didn't realize how funny this clip on SNL was, until I saw her interviewed by Katie Couric.

I had the EXACT SAME THOUGHT when I watched that. I told people that I'd move to Canada back in 2000 when GWB was elected. Apparently I either lie or I am lazy because I'm still in Wisconsin and things have gone as I suspected they would.

I, too, hadn't seen the palin/couric interview before sat. night lives skit. I was floored that they were able to take WORD FOR WORD some of what this woman was saying and just replay it back. Some people want Palin to be second in command of this nation, THAT scares the beejeesus out of me.
I think we have to wonder at Mccains perspective and judgement if he calls off his campaign to 'save the world' from finacial ruin (didn't work out too well) and you can't really call a time out when you are president, you keep going, dealing with things as they fly at you. you can't suspend one thing to focus on another. And he thinks that Sarah Palin is ready to step in and take over on those things he can't get to...YIKES
jww

I am too ashamed and embarassed to see the "real" Palin/Couric interview. Too ashamed and embarassed for Palin and for this country.
The SNL skit, however, was a HOOT!

On the Today show they played Couric's interview and the skit side by side. It was funny how it ended up syncing together, but scary sad at the same time.
I love Tina, but I really hope that there is no need to play Palin after November 4.

It's completely INSANE that someone like this has the potential to be in charge of an entire nation of people.
McCain wins and I am going to look for work abroad, I swear it.

Have you seen the more recent interview where she and Daddy McCain talk to Couric together?
... .... ... .. . . . . .......
One thing that hit me with that first Couric interview was how much Palin tried to flirt her way through. Like, that's how she got so far. Chutzpah and a Gee Whiz! smile.

I've always been extremely Conservative and I doubt that will ever change but don't get me wrong, I can't stand Sarah Palin. She is an embarrassment to the Republican Party. I literally cringe when I hear she's going to be public speaking and I have to hear it.
Although, this is not to say that I would ever, ever, ever vote for Obama. You should move to Mexico too if he's elected. He's a Socialist and just as inexperienced as Palin. If he wins, I feel like I'm going to wake up the next morning and turn on the television and all our news stations will be similar to Nazi propaganda. He's a Social-Communist. This is a man who doesn't respect America enough to even place his hand over his heart during the National Anthem. Just because he has charisma when it comes to public speaking, doesn't mean that he's a viable candidate. The pathetic thing is that most Americans are idiots and they believe this is the only quality a president needs.
