PHONE PICS
I keep taking these pictures with my phone with which I do nothing. So I'm going to unload a few. They totally suck but that's what you get when you take pictures in the dark.
Read below:
Fleet Week landed on the shores of south Florida. Yes Virginia, there really is a Santa Claus. And he is kind and generous and he brings you exactly what you want, in the very merry month of May. Yowza. I didn't blink for hours.

This dark picture is a tiered arrangement of delicious cupcakes, decorated with various candies and baubles and fun things. I was so in love with these cupcakes, I pulled out my phone, selected the "camera" feature, and took their photo.
These cupcakes were featured at this party:
...which, in this photo looks like a lot of chaotic fun, but really the place was almost empty. Bummer. They pulled everyone into the VIP area so it felt like it was crowded, and everyone drank and drank and I stood in the corner sneaking cupcakes when no one was looking.

I received this invitation to the 944 Magazine party, here in Miami Beach atop the lovely Gansevoort South Hotel. The information for the party is lasered atop the cupcake icing, on a really thin piece of rice paper. I guess you could eat the paper, but I took mine off.
Are cupcakes "trendy" now? I think they are. Whatever, they're totally practical and perfect.
Anyway--the party was good, buuuuut...

...with only two elevators running from the roof, there was a line to leave that was so long, there was a 20-minute wait to actually get out of the party and make it downstairs. It was murder. And THESE PEOPLE--these evil people--are the guy and girl who cut in front of me to get on the elevator. They shoved their way through, the girl stepped on my foot, and they didn't apologize. Terrible. So I took this photo in anger to put on the internet. Too bad I didn't get their faces or their lives would be ruined. RUINED, I tell you.
you shoulda pulled that bitches string so her top woulda fell down and the adhesive petals covering her nipples would be exposed. oh who am i kidding. it's miami. no nippple flowers.

Yes, for some reason cupcakes are very trendy now. Of course, they ARE fun and delicious, so they might as well be trendy as anything else! Here in Washington DC and in NYC I hear there are cupcake shops with huge long lines of people waiting to pay top dollar for little bitty cupcakes. I have to admit the ones in your photo do look like great fun.

Why didn't you get some close up pics of the sailors. I love sailors and love to drool over the cute ones. But I don't see any cute ones in your pic just a sea of sailor uniforms. I love William's reference to that episode of Sex & The City. Logo is having the Sex & The City ladies host the network Memorial Day weekend or something of the sort.

What a fun post. These pictures were not boring at all.
