coming out party finally hits australia. although they didn't think i am that funny. this, from the country whose biggest comedic achievement is crocodile dundee. screw them!
"hooking up in the real world," hosted by coral and myself. it ended up pretty good.
"coming out" stories told by comedians and writers. not a comedy show, per se, but is often funny.

Lesbians don't ususally need to be set up. They just date someone else in their circle of friends. It helps if she's already broken up with her (soon to be) former girlfriend.

you are too funny - and too true. One ex-friend set me (30, Silverlake) up with a guy who was at least 55, lived an hour and a half away in Pomona, and had a die job that he had neglected so long his hair was white for an inch at the roots and then limp brown! We talked about his retirement (!!!!) at El Cholo in LA. Tragic, insulting, and the easiest way to get a gay to not return your calls, ladies.

Ummm your not the only one that need someone with a nice butt!!!!

I could not agree with you more. To add to your rant, I hate when "friends" don't allow me to make a first impression. If you want to introduce me to someone new, please don't inform that person of all my idiosyncrises. I do fine a fine job of making an ass of myself on my own.

Hey, sexyr, you never know--if his retirement plans had included willing everything to you while allowing you to have boyfriends on the side, I'd have given him at least a second date...

Yeah, I've been fixed up with some real winners by some of my straight lady friends. Straight girls will date anybody just as long as he has a pulse and can get her pregnant before her eggs are no good. But should gay men really settle for the same. I think NOT!!!

I must have been a gay man in a former life, then, b/c I don't want to have a kid with some guy I can't be attracted to... pulse or no pulse. I was going to say taht a lot of these rules could apply to straight women. My friend whom I love to death really doesn't have a clue about what I would like in a guy. She actually tried to set me up with a guy who was blonde and HAD PLUMBER'S BUTT... AND IT WAS A BIG ONE. Now, I am not one to necessarily dismiss a guy because of weight (I'm no lightweight myself) but I draw the line at a guy who shows the crack of his ass while on a blind date. UGH. Oh, he had zero personality to boot.

In short, a guy has to have a pulse, an income enough so that I could be a stay at home mom, and at LEAST know when to wear a belt so the crack of his ass doesn't show.

Hey! That is really offensive to lesbians. Even if I am currently dating the ex of a girl that I briefly dated over the summer! How dare you, Dan??

    #7 is right on!

Speaking for the three (please let there be three) lesbians out there who neither moved in with their soon-to-be-ex, or have slept with any of their friends (at least none she'd ever call again afterwards), I have to wholeheartedly agree with # 8 (boobs are so last year).

As a straight woman, even if I was available, I would balk at being set up at all. Nothing good ever comes from it, at least in every example I've ever seen.

And #8 is a requirement of mine as well. =)

i have had lesbian friends even try to set me up with their other gay male friends, because, "we're perfect for each other." i think...ok...well, you're gay're gonna nail this one. yea, nice try. i began to think, do these lesbians really secretly hate me because they are setting me up with these loser guys? hehehe.
