Last night I cooked dinner with someone. We raided his refrigerator and cooked leftovers, throwing things into pots and hoping for the best. We ended up with a pasta with tomatoes, asparagus, and capers, sauteed in garlic and olive oil. Seriously, more delicious than you'd imagine.
This morning I walked into the kitchen, as I was preparing to go to work, when he handed me a bag. "This is for your lunch," he said.
"You made lunch for me?" I asked.
"No, it's just leftovers."
"I mean, you took food out, put it into containers, and put the containers into this bag for me to eat later?"
He shrugged and nodded.
You know the tingling sensation when you're about to cry? Yeah.
It's the little things.
Have you done something nice for someone today?
